Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking skilled technicians for diesel engine and heavy truck maintenance. The role covers inspection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

You will interpret work orders and manuals, repair or replace defective parts, and test equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and FMCSA rules. Flexible shifts and safety-conscious teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
Must be 17+ years of age.
Minimum one year of experience or completion of trade school.
Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
Must have own tools.
General repairs and PM criteria knowledge.
Strong knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics.
Ability to adapt to changing technology.
Mechanical aptitude for engines, electronics and precision equipment.
Must lift approximately 70 lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
CDL and FMCSA Clearinghouse rules apply if CDL holder.

Responsibilities

Repairs and performs preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
Inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses and maintains equipment.
Performs safety inspections and documents compliance with FMCSA and other regulations.
Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Tests repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with specs.
