Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is hiring skilled diesel mechanics to perform maintenance on trucks, diesel engines, and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and test equipment; interpret work orders and manuals; and ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong tool skills and the ability to work safely in a high-volume environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 17, and possess hands-on experience with tools and diagnostic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 17+ years of age.
• Minimum 1 year experience and/or trade school, or equivalent.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of general repairs and PM criteria.
• Diesel engine system diagnostics knowledge for heavy trucks.
• Ability to adapt to changing technology.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and precision equipment interests.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks, and forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare FMCSA/compliance documents.
• Interpret work orders and manuals; repair or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to meet specifications and regulations.
