Job summary

Estes Express Lines seeks skilled diesel mechanics to perform maintenance on diesel engines, trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose and repair equipment; ensure safety inspections and FMCSA documentation are up to date, and interpret work orders to replace faulty parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or completion of trade school.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment; own tools preferred.
• CDL and FMCSA Clearinghouse knowledge if driving on public roads.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare FMCSA documents as required.
• Interpret work orders and manuals; repair or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
