Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum one year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria.
• Should have knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine systems.
• Must be able to adapt to changing technology and updates.
• Possess mechanical ability and interest in engines/electronics.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare FMCSA/compliance documents.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs.
