Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines seeks diesel mechanics of varying experience levels to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and service equipment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Read and interpret work orders and manuals, replace defective parts, and test performance to meet specifications. Plenty of opportunities, with required physical abilities and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Minimum of one year experience and/or trade school completion.
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics.
• Ability to read and follow manuals and safety rules.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and forklifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and service equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare required FMCSA documents.
• Interpret work orders and manuals.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test performance.
• Maintain required attendance; flexible shifts may be needed.
• Follow safety standards and company policies.
