Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, including engines, trucks and forklifts. You will inspect, diagnose, interpret work orders, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment, a valid work authorization in the U.S., and willingness to work varied shifts in a fast-paced environment. Own tools are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Minimum of one-year experience and/or completion of trade school; or equivalent education/experience
• Must be able to use hand tools and test equipment
• Must have own tools
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria
• Heavy truck repairs and diesel engine diagnostics knowledge
• Must possess strong work ethic and problem solving skills
• Must be willing to work any shift including nights/weekends and in any weather
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Repair and preventive maintenance of diesel engines, trucks and/or forklifts
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment
• Perform safety inspections and FMCSA compliance documents
• Interpret work orders and manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts and systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and compliance with specs
