Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Topeka, KS is seeking a Diesel Technician to service refuse trucks and maintain fleet readiness. Starting pay is $30-$35/hour with additional increases based on experience, ASE certifications, and skill level.

Shift is 11:00 AM–7:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. ASE certs add a .25 bump per T Series ASE, and training is provided in the first 90 days. Benefits begin after 60 days and a 401(k) after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $30-$35/hr

More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.

Shift:

11am-730pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked. Will be trained on first shift the first 90 days.

We pay for ASE testing!

Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
