Job summary
GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel refuse trucks, ensuring safe daily operation and reliability. The role emphasizes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing inspections, and completing preventative maintenance on a commercial fleet.
The position features a 12pm start with 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday, overtime after 40 hours, and starting pay of $28-$33 per hour with additional pay potential based on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
Job description
Starting Pay: $28-$33/hr
More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.
Shift: 12pm start time. Expect 8-10hr shifts. M-F. OT after 40hrs
