Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a skilled Diesel Refuse Truck Technician to perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and repair trucks to keep our fleet running safely and reliably.

Experience with diesel systems, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical components is required. ASE testing boosts pay; 7am-5pm shift with overtime after 40 hours, PTO, 401K, and health benefits after probation. Tools and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing diesel refuse trucks and diagnosing issues.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy trucks.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay:

$26 to $35 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift:

7am-5pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
