Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel and hydraulics technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair refuse trucks, ensuring safe, reliable operation across the fleet.

You will work 3pm start shifts of 10–12 hours, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours and rotating on-call Saturdays. Competitive benefits and opportunities for overtime are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay:

$24 to $33 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift:

3pm start time expect 10-12hr shifts M-F. Immediate overtime after 40hrs worked!

Rotating on call for Saturday Day Shift.
