Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Louisiana is seeking an experienced diesel/heavy-duty technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet equipment. You will conduct preventive maintenance, inspect critical systems, and ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair, proficiency with diagnostics and onboard computer systems, and willingness to perform road call services as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tires/wheels, air brakes, diagnostics and A/C refrigeration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and standard inspections on fleet diesel equipment.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related components for proper operation.
• Ensure roadworthiness through licensing and registration checks.
• Document work orders and parts used in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand and power tools for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Perform road calls as needed and train other employees.
