Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment in Houma, LA. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, component inspections, and road-call services to keep fleet operations efficient.

Responsibilities cover diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration components, with training provided to staff and adherence to State and Federal trucking regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet diesel equipment.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and related systems.
• Ensure roadworthiness licenses and registrations.
• Document all repairs and PMs in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Perform road call services as needed.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other related duties.
