Job summary
Performance Foodservice is seeking a Fleet Technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect critical systems, and ensure roadworthiness while logging all work in our maintenance system.
The role requires 5+ years of industry experience, night shifts Monday through Thursday, and a comprehensive benefits package starting day one including health and wellness benefits, and sign-on bonuses where applicable.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM's, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration and related systems.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and inspect critical systems.
- Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and replace parts as needed.
- Ensure roadworthiness with licensing and registration checks.
- Document work orders and maintenance activities in the system.
- Install, replace and repair onboard computers; perform road calls when needed.
