Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will diagnose root causes, document work orders, and ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations, with potential road call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and diagnose basic failures.
• Ensure roadworthiness by verifying licensing/registration before road use.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the online system, and perform road calls as needed.
