Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep a growing fleet safe and reliable. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and timely repairs for heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Ideal candidates hold heavy-duty truck training, a high school diploma, a valid license, and relevant certifications with experience in fleet maintenance. Shift is 4:00 PM–2:30 AM with four 10-hour shifts; benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Education and hands-on training in heavy-duty truck systems.
• Experience in fleet maintenance with valid license.
• Certifications in vehicle inspection and safety are preferred.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software for OEM components.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs to truck systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Perform Annual Inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers and related equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Follow work orders and document all performed work.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use electrical testing equipment.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
