Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics and control systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues, perform light engine work, and support road service to keep our fleet moving.

You will be trained on new technologies, work a stable shift, and have opportunities for professional growth within a state-of-the-art fleet environment that serves our community and customers.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Familiarity with work order labor time standards.
• Experience with Class 1-8 trucks or similar equipment.
• ASE T1–T8 certifications are a plus.
• CDL is a plus.
• 3–5 years of technician experience or enrollment in auto tech program.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, brakes, engine, HVAC, suspension.
• Provide safe road service when needed.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Complete company training programs.

Education
