Job summary
Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension and drive trains. Opportunities to learn new technologies exist as you service a modern fleet and support drivers on routes.
The role emphasizes on-site maintenance, safety, and a path for professional growth with competitive wages and benefits.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- 3-5 years experience in a technician role with gasoline/diesel knowledge.
- ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
- Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Chassis components repair and maintenance.
- Refuse bodies and system controls including hydraulic/electrical.
- Light engine repair and maintenance.
- Suspension, drivetrain, steering systems.
- Heating and air conditioning.
- Welding and fabrication as needed.
- Provide road service to return equipment to operation.
