Performance Food Group (New) is seeking a vehicle maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on medium to heavy‑duty trucks and trailers. You will ensure roadworthiness, document work orders, and perform road calls as needed, with a focus on safety and compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of repair experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate diploma in a technical field is preferred.

Formación

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Preferred Education: Associates/2-year technical - Vocational / Trade School Diploma.

Responsabilidades

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthy status.
• Document work orders for repairs and preventive maintenance in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and wheel bearings, replacing parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
