Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an experienced fleet technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will ensure roadworthy status, document work orders, and perform road call services as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tires & wheels, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment and inspect components for wear or failure.
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs as required.
• Ensure roadworthy status with proper licensing and registrations.
• Document work orders thoroughly in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings and related parts for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of hand and power tools.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
