Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative and on-demand repairs on medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will document work orders, ensure roadworthiness, and interact professionally with coworkers.

The role includes installing onboard computers and maintaining safety standards. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of repair experience, with a shift schedule Thursday–Saturday nights and Wednesday

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and perform basic repairs.
• Ensure all licensing and registration are current for roadworthy status.
• Document work orders and maintain records in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect critical systems (brakes, steering, bearings) and replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Handle road call services when required.
