Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleets, including diesel equipment and refrigeration components. The role requires ensuring roadworthiness, accurate work order documentation, and responsive road-call support when needed.

The position supports a 4-day work week with shift timings described in the job listing. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant repair experience and a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections/reparisons of fleet diesel equipment and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being roadworthy.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure proper operating condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery using hand and power tools.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
