Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The role requires accurate documentation of repairs and adherence to state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring roadworthy status. The position may involve road calls and requires teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs and diagnostics.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with A/C refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, reefers).
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs as required.
• Ensure roadworthy status with proper licensing/registrations.
• Document work orders accurately in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
