Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will ensure roadworthiness, manage work orders, and support the distribution network with timely repairs.

Responsibilities include inspecting critical systems, performing routine service with tools, and sometimes conducting road calls. A High School Diploma or GED is required with 2+ years of related repair experience in a

Qualifications

2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and A/C refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes for basic failures.
Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
Document work orders and repairs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and related components for proper operation and replace parts as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks, lubrication) using hand tools and power tools.
Perform road call service as needed.
