Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Tractor Mechanic at our Wilmington, OH Service Center to maintain and repair fleet equipment, including preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks. Candidates may assist with trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and forklift work depending on location.

Requirements include experience with PM and repairs on Class 8 trucks, ability to lift 50 lbs, owning tools, and dependability.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks.
• Experience with minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks.
• Experience with AC and Electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Tractor Mechanic at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. As a Diesel Tractor Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 Trucks. Depending on work location, you may also be asked to assist with maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and work on forklifts.

Requirements

• Experience with preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks
• Experience with minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks
• Experience with AC and Electrical repairs
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Experience working on Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience
• Welding experience
• CDL
• Class 8 towing experience
