R+L Carriers in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet. This full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

You will perform day-to-day diagnostics, minor to major repairs, and may weld or service doors and lift gates as needed. A tools-in-hand candidate who can lift 50 lbs and has AC/electrical experience is preferred.

Job Description

Diesel Mechanic, Hourly range is $28.25 - $37.25/hr. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 2nd + 3rd shifts

Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our South Windsor, CT Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Preferred

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
