Job summary

R+L Carriers is looking for a Diesel Mechanic at our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers, potentially handling welding and related tasks as needed. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered, with first half at 90 days and second half at 180 days.

This full-time role operates Monday to Friday on the 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 2:30 am). PTO accrual begins after 90 days, and a strong benefits package accompanies employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment including preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Handle minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding where location allows.

As a Diesel Mechanics, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment
