R+L Carriers in Maybrook, NY is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet, including Class 8 trucks and trailers. The role covers minor to major repairs and may involve welding and related tasks.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday from 4:00pm to 2:30am with a pay range of $34.11–$40.35 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package and employee resort lodging opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Able to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts as needed.
• Assist with maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding where required.
• Work within a team to keep vehicles and equipment in safe, reliable condition.

Job Description

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Maybrook, NY Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location.

Available PTO may be used immediately upon hire.

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs

Preferred

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
