Job summary

R+L Carriers in Canton, MA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the 2:00pm–11:30pm shift. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment at the Canton Service Center.

We offer PTO after 90 days and a robust benefits package, including access to our employee resorts. Prior diesel experience and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders.
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet including preventive maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts as location allows.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding as needed.
• Assist with other shop duties as required by location.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Canton, MA Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
