R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Tonawanda, NY Service Center. The role involves day-to-day equipment maintenance on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related gear, with a focus on preventive maintenance and major repairs.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–12:30 am, offering competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet (Class 8 trucks, trailers and forklifts).
• Conduct preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies; welding as needed by location.

Diesel Mechanic - Hourly range is $28.25 - $37.25/hr.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 2 nd shift – 2:00 pm to 12:30 am

Available PTO may be used immediately upon hire

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Tonawanda, NY Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
