Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Virginia is seeking a skilled Diesel Refuse Truck Mechanic to perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and complete repairs. Shift is 2pm-12am, with overtime after 40 hours.

Responsibilities include repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO, and other truck components, and performing preventative maintenance to keep fleet ready for daily operation. Starting pay is $30+ per hour, depending on experience and certs.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $30+/hr based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL. Higher pay available for highly qualified mechanics.

Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
