Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Technician to maintain and repair diesel refuse trucks, ensuring safe daily operation and compliance with safety standards.

This on-site role offers starting pay of $27–$35 per hour, overtime after 40 hours, and benefits after 60 days. ASE certification is encouraged, with a potential $0.50 bump per T Series ASE as you certify.

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Shift: 5am-3pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked
