Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Phenix City, AL is seeking a diesel truck maintenance technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company-owned or leased heavy-duty trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.

The role offers starting pay of $25-$30 per hour, with more pay based on experience and certifications. Shift is 11am–7pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours and a benefits package including PTO, tool and boot allowances, health coverage after 60 days,

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy-duty diesel trucks and fleet maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to work 11am–7pm shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $25-$30/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.
