Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a diesel truck technician to perform inspections, diagnose issues, and repair diesel refuse trucks to keep the fleet running safely and reliably. The role requires hands-on repairs across hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, and PTO systems, plus preventative maintenance.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour with overtime eligible after 40 hours. ASE certifications are valued, and the company offers benefits including PTO, tool allowances, boot

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension and PTO systems.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance.
• ASE testing/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $25 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Starting Shift: 11am-7pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
