Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Diesel Refuse Truck Mechanic to perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and repair hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension components to keep fleet vehicles safe and reliable.

The position starts at $28-$33 per hour with 12pm shift, typical 8–10 hour days, M-F and OT after 40 hours. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401K after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
