Job summary

Swift Transportation Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers. You will work with a team of skilled technicians to keep our operations safe, reliable, and efficient.

We offer OEM training from leading manufacturers, competitive pay ($22.00–$32.00 per hour), overtime opportunities, quarterly bonuses, and extensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle and equipment issues.
• Disassemble and repair heavy truck components as needed.
• Perform tire maintenance, inspections, and failure analysis.
• Ensure work meets OEM, DOT, and company standards.
• Complete repair orders and maintain maintenance documentation.

What You'll Do

As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicle and equipment issues
• Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling heavy truck and trailer components
• Performing tire maintenance, repairs, inspections, and failure analysis
• Ensuring all work meets OEM, DOT, and company standards
• Completing repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately

What We're Looking For

• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment hair-follicle drug screening
• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic maintenance preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read repair manuals and complete work orders
• Willingness to learn diagnostic software and new technologies
