Job summary

Swift Transportation in New Jersey is seeking a Diesel Shop Foreman to oversee maintenance operations for our fleet at 943 Omar Ave, Avenel. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs for tractors and trailers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment hair drug screening.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventive maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, including tractors and trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
• Strong computer diagnostic skills preferred.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic
