Job summary

Swift Transportation is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Memphis, TN to maintain and repair our fleet of tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units. The role offers a Sunday-Thursday shift from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM with pay ranges of $25–$33 per hour and overtime at $37.50–$45 per hour when available.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and will undergo pre-employment hair drug screening and a comprehensive background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Pre-employment Hair drug screening is required.
• Comprehensive Background Check performed.

Responsibilities

• Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.).
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do as a Diesel Mechanic

Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
• Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
