Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment across a single fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles. You will work under supervision to service chassis, refuse bodies, braking, HVAC, and drive train systems, performing preventative maintenance and on-road repairs as needed.

Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Experience with Class 1–5 trucks or graduating from automotive college within 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and performs preventative and repair maintenance on components and systems on-site and on the road.
- Repair and maintenance of chassis components.
- Service refuse bodies, control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air/braking systems.
- Light engine repair and maintenance.
- Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
- Heating and air conditioning.
- Performs welding and fabrication.
- Provides road service when needed to return equipment to operation safely.
- Identifies malfunction sources using electronic tools.
- Completes required company training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
