Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues across heavy equipment.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with Class 1-8 trucks or similar equipment preferred.
• ASE certifications or CDL a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and skilled proficiency in vehicle components and systems, performing preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintenance of chassis components, refuse bodies, and braking systems.
• Perform light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering, and HVAC tasks.
• Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete company training.
