Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service our fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles. You will perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking and electrical systems, HVAC, and drive train components.

You will work with a team to keep trucks in service, receive ongoing training in new technologies, and contribute to a safe, productive, and community-focused operation. Competitive wages and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Prior experience with maintenance on Classes 1-5 light/medium and heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and skills to repair and maintain vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies with hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform light engine work, suspension, drivetrain and steering services.
