Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, HVAC, brakes, and powertrain systems. Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair multi-system issues on heavy-duty and light vehicles.
• Familiarity with work order labor time standards and documentation.
• Experience with Class 1–8 trucks, aircraft, or ships preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus; CDL is optional but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on-road.
• Perform chassis, refuse body, electrical, air/hydraulic braking, and engine work.
• Handle suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and welding/fabrication tasks.
• Provide safe road service when needed and ensure rapid return to operation.
