Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical controls, and HVAC systems.

You will work on-site and on the road to keep our fleet in service, supporting drivers and communities. Under supervision, you will tackle daily challenges, receive training on new technologies, and pursue growth within a safety‑driven, community‑minded environment with competitive wages and

Qualifications

Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
Experience with Classes 1-5 trucks or similar equipment.
ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
CDL is a plus but not required.
3-5 years in a technician role or related technical schooling.

Responsibilities

Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventative and repair maintenance.
Performs chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, suspension, and HVAC work.
Safely provides road service to return equipment to operation.
Identifies malfunctions using electronic tools and completes required training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
