Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, electrical systems, and HVAC components. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and on-site road service to keep our fleet operating smoothly.

The role emphasizes hands-on proficiency with heavy-duty trucks, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
• Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle components and performs preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Chassis components, refuse bodies, and air/hydraulic braking systems maintenance.
• Light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Safely provides road service and ensures equipment is returned to operation.
