Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician in Sparks, NV to maintain and repair our diesel fleet and related equipment. The role covers tractors, trailers, forklifts, and preventive maintenance with emphasis on diagnostics and safe operation.

You will document work and support cost-effective repairs in a team environment. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, 1+ year maintenance experience or certification, and ASE certifications with CDL Class A preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; apprenticeship program completion acceptable.
• 1+ year vehicle maintenance experience or related certification.
• Medium/Heavy Truck ASE certifications and CDL class A preferred.
• Must possess tools to perform tasks; valid driver's license may be required.
• Proficient with diagnostic equipment and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust systems for safe, efficient operation.
• Collaborate with technicians to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Accurately document work in reports and electronic systems.
• Perform safety inspections and, as needed, paint and body work.
