Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe operation of equipment.

The role requires ability to document work, use diagnostic tools, and work independently or with a team. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred along with relevant ASE certifications and CDL if available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or related certificate.
• ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble and adjusts equipment for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians on preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Documents all maintenance work, reports in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company procedures.
