Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of vehicle maintenance experience, ASE certifications, and a valid CDL is preferred. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year vehicle maintenance experience or completed FedEx Freight Apprenticeship.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Perform basic diagnostics and adjustments for safe operation.
• Document maintenance reports in writing and electronically.
• Conduct safety inspections and perform paint/body work as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
