Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires documentation of work, collaboration with other technicians, and adherence to regulations. Candidates with ASE certifications and a Class A CDL are preferred, and the position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or a related certificate.
• ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must have necessary tools for tasks and a valid license if required.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance programs and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance accurately in reports and systems.
• Perform safety inspections and document findings.
• Assist with paint and body work as needed.
• Adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies.
