Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure safe operation.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, with diesel maintenance experience or a related certificate, and tools. ASE certifications and Class A CDL are preferred. Safety and documentation are a must.

Qualifications

• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or related certificate.
• Class A CDL and ASE certifications preferred.
• Must supply own basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble sources and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper documentation of maintenance and completes reports.
• Performs safety inspections and documents the work.
• Performs paint and body work on vehicles, as required.
• Complies with laws, regulations, and company policies.
