Job summary

FedEx Freight in Sparks, NV is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and forklifts. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1 year experience in vehicle maintenance or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program.
• ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct basic diagnostics and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Collaborate with technicians on maintenance and repairs.
• Document all maintenance in writing and electronically; complete reports.
• Perform safety inspections and assist with paint and body work as needed.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
