Job summary

FedEx Freight in Henderson, NV is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel tractors, trailers, forklifts, and related equipment. The role includes preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and documentation to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of vehicle maintenance or related certificate, and ASE certifications with CDL preferred. Benefits include tool reimbursement and tuition support; work is on-site with varying hours.

Qualifications

• One year of vehicle maintenance experience or completion of a vehicle maintenance certificate from an accredited program or FedEx Apprentice Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work assignment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify the source of trouble and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work.
• Paint and body work on vehicles, as required.
